On the weekend of 16, february, a western martial arts seminar was held in Vienna, Austria, with more than 100 (one hundred) participants training in different disciplines: medieval long sword, rapier, sword and buckler, knife fighting, medieval wrestling, and la canne de combat. Olivier Dupois from France held a 30 minute introduction seminar of la canne with the assist of Zsolt Sandor (from Hungary). He presented the history of the french way of stick fighting, the techniques, tactiques, and tricks. The two players made assauts with single and with double sticks.
